    Two songs from each of the six representative album titles were released on 7" in 2022 as a special project for the 30th anniversary of Boris' formation.

    The genesis of this album is complex.
    The busy touring schedule that followed the release of "SMILE" brought about a major change in Boris' mindset. In the process of creating the album in the studio between tours, the band became immersed in an attempt to continue to genuinely enjoy music without getting involved in the big music business of "making an album for ourselves without worrying about what anyone else thinks of it and without releasing it anywhere.
    The album that was completed at the time was literally "put in storage," but the songs were deconstructed and reconstructed into "Attention Please," "Heavy Rocks (purple)," and this "NEW ALBUM.
    It was a time of experimentation from composition to post-production, and while introducing sequences and samplers, the band pursued a new sound by fusing or interfering with physical performances.
    With Shinobu Narita as the sound producer, the band broke new ground for Heavy Rock by thoroughly crafting the ultimate in post-production.

    The singles "Flare" and "Looprider" are catchy, but you can also hear the "heaviness" that lies underneath.
